So you might be thinking, "Oh my god, America is actually asking for help?". My response to that question is...Yes. I need your help. It is something relatively simple, a mere suggestion or two in fact, but I need to start racking up ideas.
So, being the awesome person I am, the class had enforced this year's dance decorations on me.Oh the horror! This dance is considered as "Winter Ball" for us, because it obviously takes place during Winter time. Our theme for this year, which the whole class decided on, is "Winter Around the World". So, we want to portray different countries, cultures, and even foods in the dance. (I was motivated purely on the fact that I was reminded of Hetalia. The fandom takes over the mind. DDD:)
So, we have different parts of the room that are decorated similarly to different countries with important landmarks. I want to be realistic here, nothing too complicated in which sophomores can't do. I just need ideas for different countries that I can do along with those important landmarks and do a wintery theme in each one of them. As for room structure in which the dance is going to be held in...I'll explain it below:
Dancing Room: Medium sized, not too big. Enough room to dance in but not place a crap load of decorations in. Huge empty space taking up 3/4ths of room while 1/4th of room is taken up by a stage. In the back of the stage, there are small stairs downwards that leads to the next room where the food is being held. So, I need decoration ideas for up in the stage area where the dancing will be held, and on the other three sides of the wall. c:
Food Room: There are generally a lot of things in the way, so I can't decorate it full blown. It's a smaller room, but enough to fit like...thirty people at least? This is where the tables of food is going to be laid out. I am looking for about, two themes in here because of the little space there is on the side walls.
Entrance: There is a very small hallway that needs to be taken from the outside of the building to get into the main dance room. It only takes like...four or five steps to get through, but this is where tickets will be collected and stuff. I want a good impression! <33
Anyways, yes...I am very serious about this dance. I'm truly hoping on being able to post pictures of the dance up here when it happens. As I stated above, I just need ideas to go off on from older and younger members alike! c: My school generally likes to think on the same mind set, so I want different ideas, variety... interesting ideas! I'm also thinking about making the stage a more Paris theme, because it's very...romantic and stuff like that.
THIS DOESN'T MEAN I LIKE YOU FRANCE. D<
I may come up with a sketch of the rooms later, but I just need ideas at the moment! You don't have to reply, but this is simply the administratorbegging asking for help right now. I will tell you if your awesome idea has been considered.
THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU GUYS, IN ADVANCE...EVEN IF YOU DON'T RESPOND. <3
I LOVE YOU ALL! All input is appreciated, so please don't feel nervous about posting it on here.
